Mr. Alfonso Iglesias Infante, founder of the family group ALCOHOLES IGLESIAS which includes the Ageing Cellar VIÑA EXTREMEÑA, was born at the end of the XIX century.
Since he was very young he focused his efforts on growing the vine and producing his own wines in Almendralejo, capital of the area known as "TIERRA DE BARROS".
Nowadays this family group owns more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards and three cellars for wine production situated in different villages of such area.
Once the grapes are picked up and the must is fermented, the cellar "VIÑA EXTREMEÑA" takes charge of the ageing, bottling and distribution of our wines.
Four generations devoted to the vine-growing and to the production of our wines have achieved to place them in the international markets of over forty countries.
