Merlot Vin de Pays D'0C - Roland Thevenin
In a place like the South of France, where so much clearly depends on the earth, you look at the land, at the sky in a different way. And you know that the joy of living comes from caring for the land. So we work, hand in hand, with local growers as passionate as we are, growing original plants and making noble earthy varietals.
Merlot is another great classic from the Bordeaux vineyards, used either as a blend with Cabernet or as the main variety in some wines (including 95% Merlot in one very famous wine).
The Merlot grapes for this single varietal <<Mediterranean >> vin de Pays were harvested in the Pays d'OC, where there is now more Merlot than in Bordeaux thanks to its huge success in such wines as this one.Soft and inviting. A deep aroma of dark red fruit and a shadow of chocolate. There's lots of luscious _favour here.)
As with many red wines, this Merlot should not be served too warm.A delight served at 15c to 17c with seafood, grilled fish dishes and creamy cheeses.
